5 secrets tips to increasing your motivation daily

Its you're birthday, lets have a party ;)

Lets talk about your motivation. Why do so many people hype motivation but yet so little people practice it. We’ve all been there and if I’m right, you are reading this because you seem to be lacking some juice in life. You are most likely waking up, exhausted, tired and dreading the morning right? I know, because I still do that at times. But motivation is like anything, its like eating healthy or staying fit, it has be practiced every day. Don’t be a motivational junkie, be a motivational practitioner.

1. Its your birthday today and every day.

This is a great game I love to play at times, when I’m out and having trouble finding the energy to talk and associate with people. So energy is about state and if you’re in a great state, its easy to find energy even if you’re physically depleted. Do you notice that when you’re a kid especially how fun your birthday was? Why because it was a celebration of life, it was growth because you grew taller, you older, you get presents especially and you had an excuse to action stupidly excited. Why because its you’re birthday!

Do you notice that when it really is your birthday, it seems to light up peoples moods and raise their energies, create laughter and generally you seem to have this special birthday Aura. You’re still the same person mind you but this little statement has given you permission to act, silly, have fun and invite people to the party that is you. Now I’m not telling you tell people its your birthday every day, but if you practice life like its your birthday every day, you will find you naturally have the energy to enjoy the day and strive for new goals!

2. Plan your day ahead, planning is fun.

Wow! Do you know why people have a day that’s never exciting or fulfilling. Cause they never plan for it. Ever heard that line “Failure to plan, is planning to fail”. Guess what if you don’t plan for any excitement or fun the day before next you’ll never have anything to look forward to, unless you’ve already scheduled it. Ever notice when you’re a kid you’re always planning what you’re going to do tomorrow. You’re so excited that you hate it when the day ends, you always like it to last longer because you are enjoying things so much. And you probably already know what you’re doing tomorrow to have some fun excitement. Such as “Tomorrow I’m going to build the biggest castle” or “I’m going to have a play date with barbie and her friends”. So if you’re day seems to be (in lack of better words) “sucking” ask yourself if you are planning to make it a good one in the first place. Great things don’t just happen by accident.

3. Make someone smile today.

Give a gift and the greatest and free gift you can give to someone is a smile. Smiles are infectious and they work the best when they become an epidemic. I remember one time I went to a restaurant with a friend, I saw that the waitress was walking around without so much of a smile so I decided to give a sincere and genuine compliment and try to make her smile for that day. I had mentioned that I loved the red streaks in her hair, and thought it they looked gorgeous. Wow, she returned one of the greatest smiles I had seen and said thank you, I just got them done. And guess what for the rest of the night she was smiling and had great energy. Ok wow my friend said where did that come from? But you know what, that night she would have created her own epidemic of smiles and energy just by showing it. How did it start? Just from a tiny gift of giving, you can affect the world… or at least your local restaurant.

4. Plan some growth today.

We all need to grow. Anthony Robbins always said, if we don’t grow, we die. Ever noticed your most depressing day. Why does it feel so bad. Because I bet that one of the reasons is that you aren’t experiencing any growth. Growth is a natural human experience and if we don’t have it in someway, spiritual, mental, physical, relationship we feel depressed. Feelings are a major aspect of human life, and they are a way to channel our progress or experience in life. Going back to the birthday example, why do we love this day, because it represents a significant pivot or turning point in our life. We are suddenly more responsible and capable, we are finally old enough to receive more pocket money or drive the car. This represents growth. So if you are noticing that ever year gets more and more depressing, ask yourself if you are growing or regressing. If you are regressing, start planning some growth today and tomorrow, whether that is becoming more fit, taking up a new hobby or improving your relationships.

5. Practice jumping out of bed, literally.

Its your birthday, celebrate, jump out of bed, go YIPEEEEEE and go “I”m …. years old”. Celebrate it, life is a celebration. If you wake up with dread every day, and lack of energy you’ve just practised how to do it, and guess what. You’re very good at doing it! So if you can practice feeling dreadful every day, I’m sure you can practice jumping out of bed every day, even if you don’t feel like it. Excite your body and you will notice it will start literally jumping out of bed for you. (Not recommended if you are on the top bunk of a bunk bed heheh).
